MBLT-1 BLS and First Aid Training
May 15-17, 2018 Green Mountain Tribe Inc. Members Sir P/Aux 3 Engr.Ceejay Custodio, EMT, American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor and EMR Instructor together with Mam P / Aux 3 Mary Jane Fabro, RN / MAN, EMT and also an Basic and Advance Life support instructor of American Heart Association was invited to share their knowledge in Basic Life Support and First Aid to Marine Battalion Landing Team-1 (MBLT-1) by Lt.Col, PN(M) (GSC) Stephen L. Cabanlet, Commanding Officer at Brgy.Busbus, Jolo, Sulu.
Sharing their skills in BLS and First Aid is the the top priority of this volunteer work. Taking the last flight from Manila to Zamboanga at 1720Hours by Philippine Airlines. Upon arrival at Zamboanga the team was Assisted by SGT.Alskin Morante. Spent their 1st night at MBLT-1 barracks at Zamboanga. Early of May 16, 2018 the team prepared for their 4 and half Fast craft ride going to Jolo, Sulu. Upon arrival the team was assisted by 6 brave Marines of MBLT-1. Upon arrival at MBLT-1 Camp at Brgy.Busbus the team was welcomed by hot drinks and a boodle fight Lead by Lt.Col. Stephen Cabanlet (Having their boodle lunch with some of MBLT-1 Officers was indeed a warm welcome!). After the lunch ceremony the team prepared to meet their 48 Participants mixed of Core Med., Gunner, Sniper, Front man, Logistics and other sectors of MBLT-1. After a short introduction the team started the BLS Training and ended around 2230 Hours.
17th of May around 0500 Hours the team woke up to prepare for their 1st aid class. At around 0730 Hours the class started. Tackled about Medical, Environmental and Trauma care. The discussion ended around 1030 Hours. Right after the class LT.Col. Cabanlet set up a small tour for the team to around Jolo, Sulu Visiting some of Jolo’s historical points and Jolo’s proper. After the tour the team had their final lunch with MBLT-1 Officers and some awarding ceremonies.
It was indeed an honor for GMT Inc. Members to be invited on such event. Hoping our Brothers and sister at arms to be safe at all time while protecting and serving our beloved country! Hoorah!
